Messy Church

Joanne and Alice being creative

Messy Church takes place four times a year at our Salvation Army.

Messy Church is a Saturday morning for 0 to 7 year olds to come with their parents and make crafts, eat cakes and hear a little more about the bible. The morning is always a great event and is a good opportunity for your child to have fun with other children whilst being active and getting messy!

Our most recent morning was today on the 29th of September where the theme was Psalm 139 “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me”.

Floats like a butterfly and stings like a plasticine bee …….

Activities ranged from decorating biscuits to making plasticine creatures, everyone was busy and had lots of fun. There were sixty-four children, parents and helpers. To finish off the morning we sang a few songs and listened to bible verses from Psalm 139 acted out in a dramatic way before finishing off the last of the cakes. Overall everyone agreed that the morning was a success and we hope there are plenty more new faces for the next time.
