MONDAY – The Well helps people who are often suffering homelessness, the threat of homelessness, addictions or mental health issues. Last Monday over 100 people came; there is a great demand for help.
The Well works with professional agencies that provides a service working towards changing lives for the better for example by helping to claim benefits and address health issues.
The Well also provides practical support with a meal and clothes.
Chris highlighted the support they receive from local branches of Sainsburys, Tesco and Costco.
TUESDAY – In the morning there are indoor board games. This event has in recent months been attended by a number of people from MENCAP who appreciate the warm welcome and opportunity to meet with people.
In the afternoon there is indoor bowls which attracts a good number of people who enjoy the friendly competition.
THURSDAY – In the morning is Craft Club which is attended by about 20 people including people from MIND Croydon an organisation that promotes better mental health.
Chris and Mary stressed that these groups make a positive difference to many people. They thanked people for their financial, prayer and volunteering support.
If anyone wants to get involved then more volunteers and a van driver to help collect food would be put to good use.
