Saturday 8th March the band joined with Regent Hall Songsters to present a musical tribute to Major Leslie Condon at the Regent Hall, London.

The evening featured two guests soloists Brett Baker trombone and Les Neish tuba and the concert was compered by Dr Stephen Cobb.

The evening opened with the band playing the stirring march Celebration and also featured the pieces Prayer of Childhood, The Present Age and Gift for His Altar. The Songsters sang A Call to Care, The Love of My Lord and Hymn to Christ.

Brett and Les made great contributions to the concert playing Concertino for Trombone, Song of Exuberance, Celestial Morn and Badinage.

During the evening there were video interviews to explain the work of the Leslie Condon Trust which seeks to encourage Salvation Army schools of music and develop the training of groups and individuals by providing financial support. The concert raised money for the Trust.

The whole evening was a celebration of the music, life and personal influence of a remarkable man and also the opportunity to continue to support one of his passions in helping young people through music.
