Corps Mission Statement

Called to be disciples of Jesus Christ, Croydon Citadel Salvation Army exists to

SAVE souls GROW saints and SERVE suffering humanity.

One of The Salvation Army’s international leaders once said our mission was to “Save Souls, Grow Saints and Serve Suffering Humanity”.

Today in Croydon  we believe this is still true. Here’s what we mean:

Save      To live, explore and teach a lifestyle that impacts others and points then towards Jesus

Grow    To learn what it means to authentically follow Jesus through relationship, bible study and prayer.

Serve    To establish and promote a culture that values serving other and fighting for social justice.

Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence“. This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it. “Love others as well as you love yourself“. Matthew Chapter 22, The Message.
